EN 388 MECHANICAL REQUIREMENTS
EN 388 standard refers to all types of gloves regarding phisical and mechanical agressions such as abrasion,cut,puncture and tear. This standard can be used together only with EN 420 standard (performance levels: 1-5 and A-F. Not tested performance levels are maked with:X)

Requirements
Abrasion resistance: Number of cycles after the material is damaged Performance levels 1-4.
B Abrasion resistance: Number of cycles with even speed after the material is damaged. Performance levels: 1-5
C Tear strenght: Maximum strenght under the material breaks away.
D Puncture resistance: Strenght needed for puncutre by a unified tool. Performance levels 1-4.
E (TDM cut test): Measures the average weight when reaches the moment of the cut. Performance levels A-F

This standard regulates the testing methods,the general requirements, the protection levels against heat and their marking. The pictogramme is completed by 6 digits.

EN 374 Protection against chemicals
During the examination of resistance of the penatration of chemicals the test veryfies that at least 3 chemicals from the chosen chart does not penetrate for minimum 30 minutes on molecular level does not diffund on the material of the protective gloves.(ISO 374-1:2016/Type B). Novelty in the standard is that further 6 chemicals can be tested on the gloves (ISO 374-1:2016/Type A).

EN 374-5:2016 PROTECTION AGAINST MICROORGANISMS
Microorganisms are classified as bacteria,viruses or fungus. Protective gloves against viruses must meet the standard ISO 16604:2004 too.
